Nutritional therapy may be what you are looking for to address these challenges.
Nutritional therapy uses food, targeted supplementation, and lifestyle to address unresolved underlying issues the mind/body may be experiencing. Nutritional deficiencies, poor diets, toxins, stressors, trauma, and genetics can interfere with the body's optimal operating state. Client experience, assessment questionnaires, System Strength Analysis and Tracing muscle testing protocols, Microbiome testing, when needed, and client's ongoing feedback are used to direct the process. Nutritional supplementation is a large part of this approach. Only the highest quality products will be used, such as but not limited to Standard Process, Biotics, Premier Research Labs, Orthomolecular, etc. These companies stand out in their fields.
This is an out-of-pocket fee service. A Health Savings Account, HSA, may cover supplementation. Visits run in 55 or 25-minute sessions, with initial visits lasting 55 minutes. Please get in touch with the office for more information.
Yoga therapy combines modern medicine with ancient wisdom. It is rooted in relationships and a deep commitment to principles of compassion, respect, and individualized support. Instead of adapting one's body or breath to the structure of a yoga class, a yoga therapist meets you where you're at to enhance all aspects of your well-being: physical, emotional, and spiritual.
Yoga therapy believes healing happens through trust and a sense of safety. The first session (intake) is a time to discuss not only your yoga goals/hopes/desires but also a space for your story to be heard--health history, relationship to rest, relationship to community, areas of joy, areas of overwhelm, and connecting the dots of all these valid pieces.
The second session is often an opportunity to notice (with curiosity) how different physical postures/movements and breath practices feel in your body. What feels spacious? What feels tight or restricted? What feels neutral?
From conversation and collaboration, a yoga therapist will create a program/treatment plan that respects and affirms your story and body while fostering well-being and balance.
Yoga therapy is not a space for "fixing" or diagnosing physical or mental health conditions. However, it is an effective therapeutic support tool that can work in collaboration with healthcare providers. These tools might include:
Do you ever feel like conflicting parts of you pull you in opposite directions? Do you yearn to expand your compassion toward yourself and those around you? Is the echoing call of curiosity inviting you to take a deep dive within?
Yoga mindset coaching (YMC) is an approach that facilitates clients in developing a more profound clarity of their complex inner workings by increasing their access to a calm, steadfast, and clear seat of consciousness. Based on Internal Family Systems theory and somatic experiencing, this approach creates a bridge to help support clients in a better understanding of themselves and making life-affirming choices to promote harmony. This process also allows clients to move through nervous system disturbances or imbalances by linking many of the pillars of yoga with cognitive therapy techniques.
In a YMC session, one can expect to have space to dive further inward to explore the workings of themself that influence their perceptions, beliefs, and behaviors. The latter part of the session includes aspects of yoga practice that are explored to aid in solidifying the exploration process. These can consist of breathwork, asanas, and meditation. Clients interested in exploring this intervention are encouraged to call to schedule a brief phone consultation to assess goals and explore any additional questions.

What we eat makes a huge difference in our bodies and minds. We are left with many vital nutritional deficits because of the nutritional deficiencies in our soil, which grows our commercial foods, and the American diet of high sugar and processed foods. These deficits contribute to anxiety, depression, ADD/ADHD, and many other mental health problems. When addressing the missing nutrients by correcting our diet and using nutritional supplementation, we can actively manage the underlying causes of many of these conditions. Feeding the body/mind what it needs helps contribute to a calm, vital body and mind.
The process of breathing is, in a manner, the core of life itself. Without it, we cannot be alive. The breath connects body and mind, is a tool for relaxation, an anchor for meditation, and the basis for voice and singing- emotional and verbal expression. It is also an important cleansing tool. Increased consciousness and efficiency with the breathing process can be a tool for both self-knowledge and healing.
