There are a variety of forms of meditation and relaxation techniques.

Some of these techniques are progressive muscular relaxation, breathing mediation, autogenic training and guided imagery. Each of these techniques can be effective for people. Some techniques are more suited for certain circumstances, such as insomnia, test taking stress, etc.

Techniques can be personally prescribed for individuals.
